This project marks a significant step in modernizing UoG’s academic and administrative operations, ensuring long-term sustainability and improved service delivery for its students, faculty, and staff.
Located in Gondar, Ethiopia, the University of Gondar is one of the nation’s oldest and most prominent higher education institutions. The Student Information System is central to academic operations – managing class scheduling, degree auditing, student data processing, and a wide range of administrative functions. However, the legacy version has posed challenges related to functionality, integration, and security.
Through this collaboration, Walia Technologies will upgrade the system to PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2, incorporating modern tools and technologies that enhance performance, usability, and security. The upgrade will deliver a mobile-responsive user experience, improved scalability, enhanced data protection, integration with third-party tools and streamlined processes. The project also includes the implementation of a One Card System for campus services.
